For deep background, go here. See this, and this. and then read the first post here. O.K.

The hardware and programs listed next to the thumbnail of the undistorted masthead image above do the lion's share of the work around here. They are listed as a "PSA" and FYI.

Pages look best in Firefox, Chrome not so much, and who the hell is using that POS Internet Explorer?  With the exception of the current read, images will usually link to the site where they are found and should have a caption or footnote indicating the base URL, webpage or site name as the source, unless of course laziness gets the better of me (and it has).

The menu bar under the masthead will change. There is no "home" button because, as you can see, items from the bar are "lit" when viewed and a constantly enabled "home button" unnecessarily impinges upon the aesthetic. The masthead serves as the home button, something of a tradition or standard on the web.

The layout generally conforms to what works for me. It looks the way it does because I like the way it looks. It is a heavily modified version of  Tina Chen's Awesome, Inc. template. Should you like a copy of the xml in its current state, inquiries may be considered. I'm wrapping my brain around JQurey and hope to have things tightened  up in general and especially for all the IE (Russian??) users soon. I need to “wrap” all the widgets into collapsible sliding accordion boxes and prettify the images and embedded players. One day...

The "blogroll" groups in the sidebars sort by most recent post, which handily focuses attention on late breaking items. I've included Loser's Review at the left more as marker than out of vanity, though a little shameless self promotion goes a long, long way.

The blogroll groupings have some vaguely independent themes, but in general each could have been named "crap I pay attention to." Rather than clutter an already busy page with uninformative or redundant text headings, their names have been hidden. They require names for use with the search widget at the top right — nice bit of work and mad props to the team behind it. They are therefore known as Left Bank, Right..., ...right again, and Featured.

If there's too much stuff in the sidebars, then take your time, or go watch television. If you find anything offensive, too bad. If you find anything wrong, bring it to my attention and we may end up discussing it. I might be wrong, but I doubt it. Your opinion matters to someone...just, not necessarily me.

[DRAFT:WIP] = ∇

Most of theses pages are frequently edited after posting, some many times. Ideally one would perform all content and copy editing before "publication," but this is in no way an ideal world, and the tendency would be for draft copies to accumulate into an embarrassment of unfinished riches.

Therefore, if you read something that seems a bit off, inartful, or egregiously typographical, check back in a few days to see if I didn't eventually catch it. Consider becoming a member of my crowd source editorial team and point it out in a comment... On second thought: screw that.

If you get the gist of any particular post, and you don't suffer from the same obsessively self-critical attention to detail that darkens my own waking hours, you can move right along and let it be.

Cheers! & Have a nice day.
